We all know that the Consortium of National Law Universities administers the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), one of the most difficult tests in the legal field in India. More than 60,000 aspirants appear for the entrance exam each year to get admission to 22 National Law Universities across the country. .

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 (for UG)
The CLAT UG eligibility criteria for 2025 for UG law programs:
– CLAT Eligibility Age Limit
There is no age restriction to appear for the UG CLAT in 2025 and take admission to LLB courses in national law universities.
– Education Qualification Required
Candidates must have completed class 12 or a comparable exam from a reputable board or institution.
Candidates may also take the CLAT 2025 if they pass the qualifying exam (the Class 12 exam in April or May) beforehand. However, to get admission, such candidates must present their qualifying examination certificate. Otherwise, their admission will be revoked.
– Minimum Marks to Appear for CLAT 2025 Exam
Candidates must have scored a minimum of a 45% overall passing grade on their qualifying exam (Class 12).
Reserved SC and ST candidates must earn at least 40% or an equivalent grade.

CLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria 2025 (for PG)
The following are the eligibility criteria for CLAT 2025 for the PG program:
– CLAT Eligibility Age Limit
There is no age limit to appear in the CLAT 2025 program.
– Education Qualification Required
The candidate must hold a 5-year or 3-year LLB degree from a school approved by the Bar Council of India.
Candidates pursuing an LLB degree and are in their last year are also eligible for CLAT LLM. At admission, such candidates will have to present their qualification certificate.
– Minimum Marks to Appear for CLAT 2025 Exam
Candidates must graduate from an LLB program with a 50% grade-point average. Only SC or ST candidates are expected to receive at least 45% in the qualifying exam.
